My Story

I am a graduate of the School of Fashion Studies at George Brown College in Toronto, Canada. I learned to sew and knit at a very young age. While my career has taken me in other directions, my passions have always been sewing and knitting. I am content when I am surrounded by fabrics and yarn. I don't go anywhere long distance without a project that will keep my hands busy.

Every item you see in the shop is created by me from start to finish. Because I am a knitter and crafter, I have a good understanding of what I'd like in a project bag.  I always have that in mind when creating new bags.  Every bag is made with meticulous care.

I started tanneicasey handmade so I can share some of my creations with all those who appreciate the art of handmade items in small batches.
